Our state of the art in-house lab contributes to our ability to customize our compounds to your specification to optimize performance over a broad range of applications and environments. Our in-house lab is a major contributing factor in our pledge that our compounds are of the highest quality. We meet your specifications and are consistent from lot to lot. Each lot of finished material is tested and receives a certificate of analysis for your records and review. We also retain a sample of material from each lot we produce for a minimum of one year. This retained sample will permit additional testing to be performed if required. /Asset/ptfelab.jpg

PTFE Compounds
For years, Flontech USA has specialized in the manufacturing of both standard and modified PTFE compounds. PTFE exhibits the best performance in terms of temperature resistance, chemical resistance, and non-stick properties of the fluoropolymers. Modified PTFE is a chemically modified version of PTFE that yields a material that exhibits equivalent chemical resistance, increased tensile strength and greater elongation. Unlike virgin PTFE, conventional plastic techniques can be used to process this material such as thermal bonding and fusing modified PTFE to itself. When a filler or an assortment of fillers are integrated into PTFE, the result is known as a PTFE compound. Equipped with a wide assortment of capabilities such as base resin and filler refinement, reverse engineering, filler selection and pelletizing technology, Flontech USA successfully satisfies the needs of a distinguished customer base from diverse industries, including aerospace and medical. /Asset/ptfecomp.jpg
Flow Grades
Serving a wide range of industries, from medical to chemical and construction, Flontech USA provides superior custom formulations in a variety of flow grades for different fabrication methods. With Flontech USA’s proprietary custom compound technology, there is generally very little difference between the properties of the final product made with non free flow or free flow material. /Asset/flow.jpgFillers for PTFE Compounds
The unique properties of polytetrafluoroethylene have made it an indispensible material for a broad and growing list of industries and applications. PTFE is the most widely used fluoropolymer. PTFE is a high molecular weight, strong carbon fluorine polymer. This extremely slippery, chemically inert polymer has the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid and is very thermally stable. However, unfilled or virgin PTFE is sometimes an inadequate material for many applications; adding fillers to PTFE results in a fluoropolymer compound with improved properties. When a filler or an assortment of fillers is integrated into PTFE, the result is known as a PTFE compound. /Asset/fillers-.JPG
